The wood for these brushes comes from his personal stock of curly koa collected over the thirty five years he has been doing woodwork on the Big Island.
The curved head and handle bring out the light and vitality of the wood.
This brush will be treasured for years.
It can be configured with the boar bristle head shown, or a boar bristle and pin head, or a straight pin with a ball end head.
Your brush will be made from a unique and remarkable peice of curly koa. It will be different from this example, but equally (if not more) beautiful.

Artisan’s Choice hairbrush
This is a beautiful piece of art as well as a great hairbrush. The sculpted handles fits very comfortably in my hand and the pin and ball bristles does a good job on my coarse, thick, straight hair. The curly koa grain and finish are just too beautiful to hide in a drawer. It’s displayed on my sink countertop.

It's not just a hairbrush, it's a functional piece of art!
Decades ago I purchased a koa wood hairbrush as a special souvenir from my trip to the islands. The brush head has been replaced at least a couple times, but the koa wood handle is still beautiful. I purchased this new brush so I could keep the old one just for travel. Mahalo Dave for creating a product that exceeded my expectations!

I was so excited to get this brush. It is so beautiful. The grain of the koa wood has a life of its own and changes as you move the brush. The brush itself is well balanced and the combination of bristles and pin is perfect for my hair.
